The Jordan Retro 4 Military Blue was not as big of a hit as many thought it would be. Early sample pics of the shoe revealed an all white upper with blue trim. It wasn’t until we saw actual pictures that the grey portion around the toe was introduced. It’s still a nice colorway, but the sample pics looked much better. What did help these Air Jordan 4 (IV) to sell was the fact that they were a general release, so women and children were able to find their sizes too.

Jordan Brand has clearly made the Retro IV and Retro XII focal points of the first half of 2012. June 9, have been the third adult Retro IV release of the year when the "Military Blue" colorway hits stores. With all the hype this weekend surrounding the release of a certain other shoe, this Jordan release has seemed to slip under the radar. A mostly white upper is aided by military blue accents on the heel, lace tabs, tongue and midsole. Neutral grey is found on the nubuck toe wrap, ankle supports, and outsole. The IV is a classic no matter what colorway it is in but the simplicity of this release with the blue accents makes this one stand out. This will be the first time the Jordan 4 Military will be released since 2006.
