Can we build up a community ?

Hey people, I'm new to this community like all of you. Now well, we all of our bloggers are present, why don't we build up a community that could help us meet more bloggers/people across the world but also get new visitors for our blog ?

I have seen many of us just leaving our blog link and walking off. Things like this won't actually do anything. We have got such a site, let's extract the most out of it.

I agree. this could be an awesome tool. I've been a part of a few on line communities where I not only get readers for my blogs and find great blogs, but also make good friends and have fun inside the online community.

That's a good idea, but how can we start it off? I made threads introducing myself and all, but people drop in, read, then leave without replying.

Perhaps if we started replying other people's threads?

I think the big things is taking an effort to make others welcome, to respond to people, and to converse.

Most of us have no clue what to do here yet. I just got here and am having the same experience as everyone else. People drop by, don't comment and leave. We can all help each other here by extending our circle of blogger buddies. Although they aren't commenting, they are coming to my blog because they're showing up in my stats. I'm with Jamie, if we just keep being friendly, some people will join in and we can all have some fun.

I do wish we had some rules or guidelines(or did I just miss those?). It would be nice to know what is and is not allowed, who runs this pop stand, where we can forward our suggestions, etc. not to bitch (oh but I do), but I feel like it's the first day of kindergarten with no teacher.

I'm new here, and I hope this place'd be more of a platform for bloggers to befriend each other than a 'drop-by-my-blog' website... But it seems like a lot of people are doing just that, and well... unless everyone cooperates, things won't change, no?

I don't know. Among the best communities I would say a large proportion just blog whore from time to time. I think in the long run if the current members try to participate more of the incoming bloggers will. It's a community only a couple weeks old.

True. I haven't see any guidelines/suggestions or any admin who can check the forums!

More seriously though, I agree. We should start somewhere. This community is new, but if we don't put in the effort now, perhaps we never will.

I'm new here and i've experienced the same as you people...there needs to be some way to keep the blog alive..i hope maybe this community could make a change..like the famous quote ' be the change you need to see in the world' !!!

The world is cruel... It's funny how in this modern time people wouldn't treat others equally... Human trafficking, child slavery,... these problems are still unsolvable

Yeap. Though my blog only have a few viewers/day, I still am pumped up to blog because of those comments that I receive from my viewers This community'll be able to make a change if everyone's determined to make one
